How is your lack of planning RA's problem? You reserved the site so you would have it and when you arrived the site would not be occupied by another, you did not have to risk traveling to the site and find it occupied. That is what you pay for. And you paid that way in advance when making the reservation, not at the arrival at camp. You tied up your money (or credit) in advance and that did not concern you??? You agreed to it because you wanted a reserved site. Now, that you cannot use the site you reserved, it is a huge concern that you cannot get your money back almost instantly! And on top of that you are trying to dictate terms and conditions to RA on how they do business and what they charge? A cancellation cost is totally acceptable as it takes computer and personnel time to unreserve your site. You probably will spend more than $17.75 on pizza after the kids game, do you dictate terms and conditons at the Pizza Place and tell them pizza should only cost $10 instead of $17.75?
What you conveyed in your opening paragraph comes across that what you really DETEST is your lack of planning.
Very well stated. :W
