As far as everybody's opinion who thinks its OK to charge $17.75 to change or cancel a reservation, when the campground STILL rents out the space?

We are all sorry re your father-in-law. When I first read your thread I thought winter has gotten to somebody but then realized you are in sunny Florida, not cold below zero nights in northern Nevada or much of the rest of the nation. Count your blessings, you have warm!
That said there is no need to post a topic looking for sympathy and then learning that folks almost unaminously disagree with your position; tell them their opinion is no more right (or wrong) than yours, but if you don't agree with me pound sand . You did not need to post the thread if you did not want to read about how others feel about the RA system. Not one person that took time to respond to you told you to pound sand. Most just said the reservation system 'is what it is' and live with it.
