Why is it that campgrounds are held to a higher standard than other venues of travel?
What cancellation,refund policy do you expect from an airline, cruise ship, hotel? Et Al? That airline will fill your seat in a holiday time split second at twice the price. Yet noone expects them to refund that doubledip. The cruise liner, hotel, camp will have a tougher time. If they can (we) can reserve the entire visit on short notice, it would be likely at a discounted rate. Thus the substantial cancellation policy.
I find RA easy to use, reasonable in policy.
Making reservations is akin to what my Pa likened to buying oats. He said if you want good clean oats (prime site) , they come at a price. If you are satisfied with oats that have been through the horse(whats left), well, they are cheaper.
We use a different online res. system more suitable for our camp.
