Hi, the park itself has nice trails. We also did a walking tour of the city and the tour book (I think we purchased it at the visitors center) was very interesting. The center also has an informative film that gives you good basis of history.
One of our favorite spots for lunch and a treat is Back in the Day Bakery. It is a very cool, retro styled bakery that has had some national exposure with a great cookbook. You can get a panini and one of their terrific baked goods. Never had anything bad. You can google for directions and hours.
