Health insurance

We travel from B.C., Canada to Yuma with our TT for the winter. Who, other than Tourmed, do you get your health insurance from ?
  • We use Medipac which is associated with the Canadian Snowbird Association. I also checked Costco who was cheaper for me but not for DH. Medipac gave us the best deal for the both of us, if you consider >$5,500 a deal. One really has to shop around as rates seem to be going up sharply each year. It sure does not help when both re going into a new age group for next trip. Will have to consider shorter trips in the future. Welcome to the Golden Years!

Have had someone else suggest Travel Insurance Specialists which is underwritten by Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services.
I have not gotten a quote from them so don't really know if they are cheaper or not.
  • We use Johnson Insurance https://www1.johnson.ca/

We get a deal from them as we belong to the National Association of Federal Retirees. Don't know what their regular rates are but I think they would be worthwhile to check out.
