- jgrimesExplorerYou might want to check a post a little further down that details a noise issue from speedboats preparing for a race. Sounds quite loud.
- kknowltonExplorer III'll echo the others - nice park, and the shade in almost all sites is very welcome; that's a hot area. Likely to be loud if there are a lot of boats around; we were there during the week, however, and it was fairly quiet, despite the commuters on the road directly across the river from the CG in the morning & evening.
- jamesuExplorerFYI: Read my post in this section from a couple of days ago titled "Over the Top Noise - Hellsgate SP". Having been told by participants and by rangers that a regatta will be held adjacent to the SP on Memorial Day weekend you can factor that info into when to visit Hellsgate.

X2. The DW says that the site at the end of the boat trip is the only place that she'd consider being a camp host. - oldcat1ExplorerIf you have time, take a jet boat ride up into the canyon. Amazing and worth every penny. It departs from the north end of the park. riverquestexcursions.com
Safe travels - Tom_Mary_LouExplorerReally nice park. We stayed a couple of nights coming back from the Oregon cost last year. This was in late July when it was hot and everything was beginning to get brown and crispy. Wasn't expecting much but as we came in they had sprinklers going and we were so pleasantly surprised by how green and lush the park was. Had a great pull thru site.
- GottahaveitModeratorAwesome everyone for all the input. Looks like we will definitely stay there. Looking forward to it and woooo hoooo Costco is always good :W
- MurphsmomExplorerLovely area and a super nice park. Plus, you are right across the river from Costco in case you need to stock up before continuing on your trip.
- 2gypsies1Explorer IIIIt's a beautiful, cool, shaded campground perfect for big rigs in a very hot area for the summer. :)
- accsysExplorerOur Blog Posting from 2011 will show you a couple of pictures of site A19 which was a great FHU 50 amp site.
