Help planning trip to Fort Worth, TX, from Lansing, MI

According to Google Maps Meramac SP, about an hour south of St. Louis would be a half way point. Not far off 44 and nice for a night over. A bit busy on the weekend, but still manageable. A typical MO State Park, with trees and private spaces. Just outside of Sullivan, Mo, so stocking up on supplies is not an issue. Have a great and safe trip.
