Hoffmaster and Wilderness are two of our family favorites. At Hoffmaster, try to grab a site on the first loop, close to the beach trail and on the side that has the creek running behind the sites. At Wilderness, go for a beachfront site, and make sure to hit the little store just west of the campground for freshly made donuts in the morning. Both parks are full of hiking trails and have miles of beach. Wilderness has some really remote areas, but it's only 20 minutes from Mackinaw City.
