We live a few blocks from the KOA that dedmiston mentions and it is pretty nice. I have heard about a new RV Park in Moriarity which is east of Albuquerque that has received favorable reviews but I can't remember the name right now (old age sets in). We have stayed at Hidden Valley and it is as the OP described. We spent one night there so we could test everything on our new trailer (four years ago). We have not stayed at the KOA but we do get our propane there and are familiar with the park. Sorry for the bad experience in the Land of Enchantment but welcome to the forum.
