Hiking up to Odessa Lake, RMNP - Tell me about it!

Was looking for a early summer hike with the Granddaughters (They live and hike in Colorado-so think they can handle it but can I?) Ran across some great pictures of it and thought it might be a go...

I have not taken that particular hike, but the round-trip mileage and the elevation gain are at the outer limits of my personal ability. It sure is pretty! Maybe Deer Mountain for an early season starter hike? It is in the same general area -- great views, too.
