We stayed at the motor coach resort on the way to Florida a couple of years ago. Every site is privately owned and equipped with nice patio furniture and concrete paver pads. The resort is garden-like and has pools and tennis etc. It was very nice, but not our kind of place.
The one thing I noticed about HHI was the lack of signs on the roads. I guess there's an ordinance that says businesses must hide there location. I needed to drive into a plaza to see what shops were there.
We took a day trip to Savannah and that was very nice. Savannah is a beautiful old city that they somehow managed to prevent developers from destroying. The river front area looks like it's from another time.
