Hello,
My wife and I are considering going to Hilton Head island this summer. It appears that Hilton Head Harbor is the only place for us to stay since the other campground is a motorhome only resort.
We will probably stay in an interior site and was wondering if anyone could make a recommendation on the best section to stay WITH PETS.
Also since we have never been there before are there any recommendations on things to do? We are around 60 years old so nothing like skydiving or bungee jumping which I would have done prior to bypass surgery LOL
Also what restaurants are must do's? We love seafood, American, Italian and Chinese.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Dave
Bikes - Boats - Golf - Beach - are all options
Beach is hard and bikes work on it.
Restaurant at the Marina used to be one of the best on the Island (been awhile so can't say now) and you needed reservations.
Summer is HOT and MUGGY, so the Beach is likely the Best option - we tend to only go there in the Winter as it is Perfect, IMHO.
If summer is the time I'd suggest the second option of getting into the Mountains around Lake Toxaway - Cooler - Beautiful - Hikes - Drives - just Heaven.
Hope this helps,
