Hocking Hills

Have not been there since the sites have been added but would really appreciate an update on how they were once you get back.

I don't think I'd want to take a 40' anything up that twisty, dangerously narrow access road.

I'll let you know how that goes, 35'TT + 20' truck so I will be 55' total. I've pulled a 28 footer up there many times so I'm really not too concerned.

that road is a piece of cake,as long as you go slow to allow for others that dont stay on their side.we are going oct 9 thru 17i missed last year ,first time in 28 years we had already made reservations so didnt know about the full hookup sites we are on site 165

I was one of the first to stay in them when they opened them up Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. I had a water/elec site reserved and stayed at it Friday night and when I took a walk around the campground Saturday morning I saw all the full hookups and they were completely empty. I went down to the camp store and asked about them and they said "yeah we decided to open them up this weekend to see if anyone would be interested".... I immediately jumped ship to a full hookup site and when others saw what I had done the entire loop filled in about an hour.

With that said yes, they will hold some big rigs... Not all of them, but a lot will hold 40'+. Also be prepared that the sewer hookup is below ground in this vault thing and I couldn't get a real good connection with my elbow. I'm positive others have ran into the same problem. At least on the site I was on the connection was too far below ground level. Not sure if they are all like that.

Rangerman40 thanks for the update on the sewer. I know I own a bayonet end and a donut, I need to make sure they are in the trailer.

Stayd below the water tower 2 years ago in a 34' Class'A' pulling a TOAD. Sites were plenty long enough. The road is curvy but go slo and its no problem. Try not to take Rt. 56 out of Circleville to get there. Thats a Slo, Twisting, Narrow miserable road. I'd come into the area on Rt.33 to Logan and down Rt.93 than west on 56 and up to the park.

Good info for the people who have never been there. I have been camping there since I was a kid and always come down 33 from Columbus. The road and drive to the park never bother me but then again I grew up driving large farm equipment on even smaller winding roads.

What campground is this in Hocking Hills? Sounds like we might like to venture that way for a few days.
