Holiday Travel Park Emerald Isle NC

We live about 1.5 hours away but have never stayed at this campground. $110 a night in the summer is one reason. Another is we really don't think there is a lot to do or see. We are going this weekend & we are getting pretty excited. First, it will be our maiden voyage on our new camper. Second, it is somewhere we have never stayed. Finally, my parents & a friends will be coming as we'll.

Any input good or bad is welcome. I see there is a go-cart race track nearby. What else? Fort Macon. Nc aquarium.

Thanks.
  • We stayed there a number of years ago and loved it although you are packed in like sardines. The beach is stellar, there are amusements right there, and not far is a beautiful wildlife refuge.
  • Let us know what you think. The rate is what has kept us. For that rate, we can stay at myrtle beach and still go out to eat every day. Lol
  • We stay there over Memorial and Labor Day and sometimes a week in July. As far as camping at the beach with an RV there is no better beach in NC IMO. It is clean, great respectful people and a happening place. Nice pool, good restaurants nearby and nice biking trails. We really like it and always enjoy our stay. Enjoy!
