Recently bought a new Yamaha 2400.
Ran the tank dry after each use, have only owned it for a few months.
Third trip out - it won't start.
Mind you, I've only run about 4 tanks of fuel - total - thru it.
Since it's still under warranty, I decided to take it back to the dealer.
Diagnosis - carb is completely gummed-up.
Says it's due to ethanol, and not covered by warranty.
$165 later, we'll see how she runs in a few days.
The fuel I used was only a few weeks old, had Stabil in it...I'm not sure what more I can do to prevent this from happening, short of finding non-ethanol gasoline. Which may not even be possible in CA...we'll see.
