Honda EU2000I generator

That is a fair price considering you are buying an ALMOST life time piece of equipment. I paid about a grand apiece for my Hondas and am not overly concerned with maintenance and have about 2200hrs on one and over a 1000 hours on the other. Replaced starter ropes and 2 spark plugs. Best **** things I ever bought.

For $200 difference or less I dont know if I would chance that they didn't do the most important oil change of all......THE FIRST ONE at 20 hours. But then it is a Honda so it will stand up to abuse the best.

I think of used items for sale like a new car that drives off the lot. Price immediately depreciates 25% - 30%. Most used items I won't pay more than 50% original and really good condition, the 75% - 80%.

$675 is a really good deal.

I've seen them sell for $800, and they look like they were drop off the back of a truck and then sent through the Monster Red Wash Plant with a bucket full of pay dirt

Yikes! I paid $850 new for each of mine. They were purchased 6 years apart. The first one from Mayberrys, and the other from Electric Generators Direct. They go on sale periodically, you just have to be patient and check the websites. The newest one was purchased just this past may, no tax, no shipping charges, arrived at my door in 4 days. I checked the websites for about 2 weeks until I saw the sale price. They are currently $ 899 at Electric Generators Direct.

The 1000 (*ONE* thousand) Watt units don't sell for any less than $799 anywhere.

Honda has a MAP of $999 on the standard EU2000i. Right now they are taking $100 off so you can get them for $899, and many places offer free shipping.

You got a great deal since it's in the condition you described. I don't see them around here used for less than $800 unless its beat up.

I gave like $500 for one that looked like it got dragged behind a truck! Not really but was all scratched up, plastic faded. Guy said it didn't have that many hours and I believed him based on how worn the rubber feet were. Every one I e had at work when they have a lot of hours, the rubber feet are worn out from vibrating.
Not sure if it has the blinking hour meter but 3 years later and a lot of tanks of gas through it, it runs great.
I would bet some I've had at work have thousands of hours on them with less maintenance than they should get.
