Other than noise reduction, generators are generators. They have carbs, engines, rotors/stators, and inverter boards. I'd say that upkeep of any brand, be it red, blue, or yellow, is about the same or at least very similar.
To make life easier, get an oil evac pump if you get a bigger, 3000 watt model. Beats trying to pop the cork from underneath.
