Visited he Empire State Bldg several years ago and security told me I couldn't take my small pocket knife but said leave it a the desk and I could pick it up on the way out. Of course, I forgot to pick it up and a week or so later I remembered where I left it. With nothing to lose, I emailed the ESB and asked if I could get my knife back. They said sure if I could describe it. Did the best I could but they sent me the wrong knife. I returned their knife and tried again to describe mine. They got it right the second time and I thanked them profusely. Cost them $5 each to return the knife. Forgot to pick up my knife at the Court House in Honolulu in 2000. Never got that one back.
