How is Mission, TX these days?
I have previously made the comment that I do not want to return to the RGV, but now I am having second thoughts. We were there in 2008 and 2009 and the area was just plain dirty in my opinion. Hwy 83 ...

Possibly because they previously stayed at Bentsen Palm Village Resort which is in Mission,
However trying further east in the Valley is a good suggestion.
