Opie, why would you need to cook on the fire? A tank of propane lasts us almost a month, with hot water, and the fridge, and cooking, and the furnace. Unless, of course, you like cooking on the fire, which some people do. For me, the problem with campfires is that I have to squat down to cook, and I get rude comments and loud complaints from my knees and my back.
