Then by all means take her to Huntington Beach, she will enjoy it just as much, just less because of no pier. I am with your thoughts of Hunting Island but you do have to make reservations a year in advance. Starting 1/16/2015, you can make reservations at SC state parks up to 13 months in advance. I have a grandson that loves go crabbing & net casting & fishing. Practices thrown net a lot, abought wore net out in practice.
I know you and are looking forward to the trip. I have one scheduled for Myrtle Beach on 3/20/2015 with grandsons spring break for fishing and crab and net, if the winter does not take the days off.
