Huntington Beach State Park

Hi there! Was able to get a spot for a few nights for 4th of July, but wanted to know how far the park is from the main attractions in Myrtle Beach and how far the sites are from the beach? We have 4 small kids and is there enough to keep them busy?
  • We were there last summer with our 5 and 8 year old and we found plenty to do within the park! We only letf the park for food and fuel.
  • With in a few miles there are all kinds of things to do & spend money on............. The little ones might enjoy Ripley's Aquarium a walk though tour.... all kinds of putt putts..... go on line & search Myrtle Beach should give you all kinds of ideas..........

Been taking our "kids" for the past 25 years............
  • We were lucky enough to get a beach front site when we were there. When we took a walk though the bugs seemed really bad the farther from the water you got so take some spray. Lots of people loaded up wagons and pulled them to the entrance on the beach. There is almost no parking up there so prepare for a short walk
  • HBSP is a great state park. The sites are close to the beach but you will need to walk across a couple of barrier sand dunes on a boardwalk. Once there you have plenty of beach. There are a couple of nature trails, marsh boardwalk, nature center.

Head north on Business 17 and you'll find more ways to spend your time and money than you care to think about.
