Huntington Beach State ParkCampground Site 127

Thanks to those of you who have answered some question on South Carolina State parks. We mad a reservation for over the Christmas Holiday at Huntington Beach SP.We ere able to get a secluded site#127. The agent never asked the length of our unit(25 ft TT).The site looks plenty long but I was wondering if anyone was familiar with it? Front section pictured on campground picture site looks narrow in the front which is ok,but does it open up wider in the back with a picnic table & fire ring?
  • Have stayed in the site with my 35' FW so you won't have any problems with your rig. Being Christmas, should be nice and warm even if the wind is blowing.

Hope you have wonderful weather and a great Christmas.
  • We have camped on this site before. It is definitely long enough as we camped with a 28 ft 5th wheel. You will have privacy, however, the site is a bit narrow. We ended up having to set up screen house near the back end of the site just to the rear of the rv. The site backs up to a paved road (after a short walk through the woods) so there will be no campers on the back side of you. You will be on the back loop so the walk to the beach is a bit long but certainly doable. Love that campground. Hope you have a great trip.
  • Here are pics of all the sites at Huntington Beach SP in South Carolina.

You can also search for other campgrounds.

Betting here is where, referencing secluded site 127, appears off by itself on the loop:
    Hunting Island, SC

I have been there, most sites, are pretty easy to get a smaller trailer like yours into. The campground and that loop is pretty well, wooded, making a nice camping atmosphere. I don't recall pic-nick tables or fire-rings. Do recall, the beach area, really nice laid back setting, lighthouse down the road, great, neat hike between the too, winter should be a great time for a visit there! Great sunrises!
