I-75 south of Cincinnati

Looking for a campground easy on easy off of I-75 around Cincinnati.

Any suggestions?
  • You might try Oak Creek CG in Northern KY. Just off I-75 South after I-71 and I-75 split. I can't recommend it because I live in a suburb of Cincinnati, but it gets some decent reviews on RV Park Reviews.
Cincinnati has three major Interstates going through it I-71, I-75 and I-74, so lots of traffic including semis. Better to be south of the mess before you stop for the night.
Here's a link to the CG.
  • We have stayed at Oak Creek a few times on our way south. It is OK for an overnight. If you decide to go there, follow the signs and go slow after you make the right turn towards the c.g. It comes up very quickly and it is easy to miss the driveway. There is also a Flying J at that exit (I think) so easy to top up the tank at the end of the day.

Last year it was a nightmare going through Cincinnati; there was a lot of construction and lanes being re-routed and heavy traffic. Last year after we had come through there, part of an old bridge collapsed on the highway. I think it is the worst area we go through on our way to Florida. Maybe it will be a bit better this year.
  • Construction still going on in cincy. The bridge collapsed while they were tearing it down.
  • Lanes are still rerouted and traffic still sucks, but it's nothing like it was earlier this year. 1000x better.
  • Too bad you aren't FMCA, their free park in Cinci is a great value.

  • Best way to avoid all the stuff going through Cincy is to take I-275.

Great place to camp just west of Cincy in Indiana is Little Farm on the River
  • Kentucky is well known for having beautiful horses and fast women. I may have that backwards. :)

Make sure to stay away from those east-siders ;)
