Looking for a good place to stop for the night near the NC/VA state line while traveling northbound. Just traveling in a TC so really just looking for a safe level place to stop.
I would go for the Flying J at exit 100 - about 5 miles south of the border.
If you would prefer a Cracker Barrel, there is one at exit 73 in WytheVille, VA - 73 miles north of the border - and one at exit 82 in Janesville, NC - 24 miles south of the border.
We have stopped at X100 before-usually it is FULL of trucks. When we were in our TC we just parked with the cars, but when we were with our TT I was very reluctant to take a truck parking place; when we pulled in after dark there were no parking places available. We have used the VA welcome center-much quieter, but usually we shoot for one of the truck stops at Wytheville-still rather noisy, but we have always found a parking place. Gary
