CAMCO Quickie Flush

I had this on the black tank of the motorhome I just sold and loved it but it leaked.

This time I tested it before installing on my new motorhome.

Make sure that hose clamp is very tight or use a different hose.
Also, I most likely will use this added elbow to relieve tension on the tubing plus it will make hose replacement easier if needed in the future.

  • Elbow is good. I used a pex to hose bib adapter to use real plumbing instead of that flimsy hose. Yes I had a couple leak and eventually blow off.

I also drilled a few extra small holes in the nozzle. Some directed at the sensors and the rest to put more water to the back wall of the tank. Do this on a warm day so getting soaked during the test is all part of the fun.
  • I did this on my black tank 8 years ago and added the elbow as I Posted earlier and have had no leaks from the connections after I got it tight.

Also I found that another nice mod was to add a Quick Disconnect to the end to make it easier and quicker to do a Flush.I use the Quick Disconnect on all my hose connections, but only a special hose for the black tank wash.
  • Thank you for that quick connect link. Great idea!
