Installed quicky flush

I installed a quicky flush black tank flush. To plumb it I used a a 90, then got male and female hose repair ends, 3 feet of 5/8 ID braided hose from lowe's and fabricated a bracket to hold the hose end at the curb side of the trailer near the dump valves. One thing to watch is to be sure you use all hose thread NOT IP or pipe thread, there's lots of pipe thread fittings, not so much hose thread.

  • That looks like a good clean install. I like that you incorporated the stabilizer mount bolt to hold the bracket rather than drilling a new hole in the frame.

If I was to make an unsolicited suggestion it would be to put a plug in the hose end when not in use. You just never know when the one way valve in the quicky flush might fail or get stuck. I had it happen last time out and I didn't have a cap in mine either. :o
  • Thanks for pointing that out, it's actually on the shopping list when I hit the hardware store later today.

Nice install. I did one years ago on my old trailer but just used the supplied hose and hose clamp. Our new trailer came with a sprayer.
  • Nice job. I added one in my Jayco Kiwi. Will look into putting one into our new Springdale. But it has an enclosed underbelly. Not sure how much trouble its going to be getting at.

I've got a wand as well, may just look at a simple way to connect to the bathroom faucet
  • The only issue I see is a lot of silicone! I don't remember on mine, but you need to be careful you didn't cover any spray holes on the flusher.
  • I did the Samething on my class C.
My Quickie Flush came with a Plug for the female end.

I put a quick disconnect on it to make it even easier to use.
