Elbow is good. I used a pex to hose bib adapter to use real plumbing instead of that flimsy hose. Yes I had a couple leak and eventually blow off.
I also drilled a few extra small holes in the nozzle. Some directed at the sensors and the rest to put more water to the back wall of the tank. Do this on a warm day so getting soaked during the test is all part of the fun.
