I'm late too, but if hookups aren't necessary, the opportunities for primitive camping are limitless in Idaho. The upper south fork canyon east of Featherville is close to highway 20 and has some great scenery. Or if you've got time head up towards Stanley.
No reason to stay in some cramped campground when you've got so many great options to enjoy some solitude and scenery.
