Tombigbee Forest Davis Lake Campground 17 miles south of Tupelo off the Natchez Trace. (cheap, small campground on lake). Make reservations!
or Campground at Barnes Crossing in Tupelo. (really nice)
And we did make it to Tupelo and stayed a Barnes Crossing for 2 nights. Enjoyed the town of Tupelo....went to Elvis's home and really liked the Tupelo Hardware Store. Left a bit of cash there. Thanks for the info.
PS.....we did make it to Natchez.....saw the Cemetary and Visitors Center. Went over to Vidalia and stayed at the Riverview RV Park. The Bridge over the Mississippi looked great at night. Moved on from there to Grand Isle State Park on the Gulf. Very well run park. Up to a KOA in New Orleans, through Alabama to the Smokies and finally home to more cool spring weather. It was a fun trip.
