Been to Rock Crusher Canyon many times and use to live in that area for years. It is a very large(acreage) RV park with good shade. The amenities are there and the staff was friendly. It was just bought out by Sun RV Resorts a couple months ago and I imagine there will be some changes coming down the pike, knowing how Sun operates their properties.
That area of Florida is awesome and there is lots to see and do. You're within an hour to an hour and half of most of the amusement parks in Florida. It does get down into the 20's a couple times a winter, but it is back in the nice range within a few hours, so weather would not be a factor. It would be a good place to winter and give you a starting point to see what else is available, if you don't care for the park. Personally, I think it is one of the better parks in central Florida, for the money.
