Instead of walmart...home depot?

We have only stayed at one HD for a quick overnight. It was 11 pm and of course it was closed so we spent the night were gone soon after opening. No one said a word to us.

Has anyone else routinely done this? We need a replacement for Walmart...much more quiet.

  • As with Wal-Mart, you may want to check local ordinances for the location you want to overnight. What applies to Wal-Mart (prohibited by ordinance) would also apply to Home Depot, Lowes, Cracker Barrel, et al. Would be unfortunate to be contacted by a LEO at oh-dark-thirty and told to move along.
  • Sure. If no one's there you can't ask, I often don't anyway. Just stay the heck out of the way and be gone in the morning.
  • I have heard HD, Lowe's and Cracker Barrel. I prefer a campground, but two times on same trip, found myself looking for something to get off the road..
asked at Cracker Barrels and both said yes.
