Interstate 40 overnite stops

Near Oklahoma City, we liked Mustang Run. All roads and sites are paved.Many pull throughs. FHU and cable. They also have a swimming pool,dog run and immaculate bathrooms and showers. We paid $45 a night in April. Near Flagstaff, we stayed a Circle Pines KOA in Williams.FHU ,indoor pool and hot tub.

We stay at Oasis RV Park in Amarillo and Santa Fe Skies RV Park in Santa Fe each time we are in those cities. Santa Rosa State Park has paved W/E campsites and a dump for $14/night, which includes the park day pass. We have also stayed in Sayre, Oklahoma, at the city park campground. Long, gravel, W/E pull-thrus and a dump for $12/night, plus public swimming pool, golf course, ball fields, tennis courts, playground, and picnic area built by the CCC in the '30s. The nicest casino campground in New Mexico is at the Isleta Pueblo on I-25 just south of Albuquerque--golf course, fishing ponds, backs up to the Rio Grande, shuttle to the casino, FHU campsites. Flying J truck stops have RV fuel lanes separate from the truck lanes, overnight RV parking spaces, RV dumps, water, and generally propane. We like the ones that also have a Denny's so we don't have to fix dinner or breakfast during a "sleep stop". We spent a night at the Flying J on the west side of Albuquerque on I-40--noisy, but free. But that's why we have good ear plugs!

You may want to skip Albuquerque during the Balloon Fiesta on the first two weekends in October.

All these parks should meet your needs for overnight stops.

Twin Arrows Casino east of Flagstaff is free for the night. No hookups, easy on/off and large lot for RV's.

West of Flagstaff in William's is Grand Canyon Railway RV resort. Very nice full hookups etc. Great route 66 town easy on/off I-40.

That would be Enchanted Trails our regular stop going through Albuquerque.

American RV Park on the South side of the interstate at same exit is also nice, but a bit pricier.

We just finished a 5,600 mile round trip and stayed at Love's travel centers. Most have dedicated RV lanes in the front where the gas pumps are. We like using them for overnight stops and they are all close to the interstate, and free. Best part is in the morning, you can just fill up and go. We use their smart phone app to find one on our route. There is multiple ones along the interstate, so you can generally find one close to when you want to stop for the night.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I was curious about the casinos and how they viewed the one night staying travelers if they didn't come in and spend some money. We don't have time to do that except for food and gas.
