Obviously, Iowa is not like other states...Dennis - LwiddisExplorer IISo if private campgrounds are open it’s ok to travel?
Iry, do you see what the Iowa governor is saying by closing state campgrounds? Don’t travel! Quit looking for loopholes. - magicbusExplorer IIConnecticut shut all state and private parks a week ago.
Dave - doxiemom11Explorer IILong term tenants and permanent tenants residing at the campground are exempt. That is a good thing for any full-timers there.

Long term and permanent residences are exempt. You can't put a full timer in an RV out on the street. - Executive45Explorer III

But it's also meant to keep full timers OFF the ROAD. Stay put..wherever you are. Discretionary travel is not warranted at this time...Dennis - jdc1Explorer IIAnd this is EXACTLY how it should be for the foreseeable future, maybe until June. Too many people cannot be trusted to stay far enough away from others at this time. 28 young adults came back from Puerto Vallarta....all were infected with Covid19. This is why these campgrounds are closed, not because of you or I.
- Tax_ManExplorerI've been reading several articles and an RV group on Facebook about the Covid-19 stuff.
There is a lot of information being presented. Some good but most is not. IMO. Facebook is not a reliable news source. IMO. This post is my opinion and most are not going like most of this. Too bad.
I realize that there are carriers of this virus, as with the flu and others, that are unaware. But there does not need to be any berating of people. If you berate then you are ..........
These stay at home orders come from people we elected. They are listening to others. They are NOT using common sense. "Locking down" a state and expecting the streets to be vacant like those in a 1950s nuclear war movie is not going to happen.
Many RV parks and campgrounds have been closed. Why not apartment complexes? RVs in a campground or RV park are probably more "stay at home" because there are no hallways to navigate. Fulltimers, or even those that are part time, are like apartment dwellers. They just take the apartment with them.
There is more I'd say but..
Stay safe..
