Is 40 West RV park in Shamrock, TX open?
I've been calling the 40 West RV Park, Shamrock, TX phone number listed on thier web site but it only rings. No one answered and no message machine. Anyone know if they've closed down?

- We've stayed there 2-3 times and I sure hope that they are open. The older lady's health was failing but she had kids and grandkids as she had their pictures on the counter and hanging on the walls.
The RV park is just a for a quick stop (one nighter). It's convenient, simple and also has good long pull-through sites.
I remember having a nice conversation with the owner and she said that she remembered stories of her parents in the 30's when the dust bowl came through (she was a young girl at the time).
I hope that her family can keep the park open. It has worked out for us a few times.
MM. - When we were there a couple of years ago,the owner said they going to lease to a wind turbine company. Maybe they did, they sure had enough wind!
- Last three ratings on RV Park Review are from July, June and May......(ratings of 1, 3, & 2).
Basically......keep on driving even if open
