I'm not trying to avoid paying taxes all together - just wondering what the cheapest option would be. I will technically not live in any state because I am Canadian isn't that right? Maybe I can't even get it plated without having a "home address"? Even if we buy/register in CA it is still only 7.25% (I think?) vs. 12% that we would pay here so still a nice savings.
This is the first time for us so just trying to get some info! Definitely don't want to do anything wrong - the fines are one thing but we would likely not be able to come back!
