James Island, SC

We'll be heading down to James Island, SC for a week of relaxation. Even though we cook almost all our meals at the campsite. We do try to go out and try the local fare once or twice. Does anyone know of any "local" seafood restaurants that are really good. It doesn't have to be fancy or anything. Sometimes the "ol hole in the wall" places have the best food. I want to take Connie out for some good seafood. She loves it. Me...if it ain't square, on a bun, with tarter sauce, I don't want it. But, I want her to get some of the good stuff.

thanks for any help.

Hard to get any more hole in the wall local good sea food then Bowens Island Seafood just a few miles out towards Folly Beach.

If you want some good local BBQ, check out Melvin's on Folly Rd just a little ways back towards Wapoo Cut.

I'll second this. Real hole in the wall, real good food
