James Island, SC

We'll be heading down to James Island, SC for a week of relaxation. Even though we cook almost all our meals at the campsite. We do try to go out and try the local fare once or twice. Does anyone know of any "local" seafood restaurants that are really good. It doesn't have to be fancy or anything. Sometimes the "ol hole in the wall" places have the best food. I want to take Connie out for some good seafood. She loves it. Me...if it ain't square, on a bun, with tarter sauce, I don't want it. But, I want her to get some of the good stuff.

thanks for any help.

  • If you want to go for a real good lunch or dinner try Rita's on Folly Beach. For a great breakfast go to The Lost Dog Cafe also on Folly Beach. Both are very easy to get to,about a 20 minute drive.
  • Pearls Little Oyster Bar is good, as is Charleston Crab House - James Island, Roadside Seafood, Oyster House on Market.

These are my favorites, but there are plenty.

Try Tripadvisor.com. It's never steered me wrong.
