Jimmy Buffet's 'RVers in Paradise' RV parks???

I was wondering if anyone has heard anything regarding RV parks being built by Jimmy Buffet. I caught a little something on the radio but haven't seen anything on the internet. It wouldn't surprise me though seeing how many Parrot heads there are... and since many of them will be retiring in the next 5 to 10 years, it seems feasible.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

  • Well, the BIG planed Margarettaville with the Grand Casino fell thru a few years ago and he has since built a smaller casino there which is not to impressive nor doing too good.

This Parrothead was interested in the title of this thread, but I researched and couldn't find anything specific. Jimmy often plays at Klipsch Music Center near Noblesville, IN and across the road is Sleepy Bear Campground.

Wondering if I heard something about this... as I live in Indiana. Hmm, interesting thought though.
  • I am a huge JB fan, been to several concerts, have 20+ CD's, stickers on my car, etc.. As proud as I am of my parrothead status, I probably wouldn't pay the extra $$ just to stay in the Landyacht Lagoon.

It would be fun to come up with names. I'll start:
    Landyacht Lagoon
    Motoritaville

I couldn't find anything regarding Jimmy investing in campgrounds themselves, although his company is developing resorts in a few locations including a casino resort in Biloxi, MS. which will offer boat docking.

Check out this YouTube video from Sleepy Bear prior to a Jimmy Buffett concert. Tailgating at it's finest.
