South beach is open May 20 – September 18. It's basically a gravel parking lot with tables and fire rings. First come first served. No privacy at all. If you stand at one end, you can see every rig in the entire campground. Yes, close to the water and no view obstructions (other than the other rigs). Wide open the wind coming in off of the Pacific Ocean.
Kalaloch is a real campground. Individual campsites. Reservations, but they can be hard to come by. Not very many have water views, and the ones that do are hard to get. But the ones in the trees are protected from the wind.
Both campgrounds have the same trailer size guidelines: 21’ (some for up to 35’)
