Kentucky Camping For Fall Break
This is for fellow Kentuckian RVers. Lets see a list of which campgrounds, parks, etc. where you all spend Fall Break when the kids are out of school for that particular week. :h

- We're not from KY but we stayed at Big Bone Lick State Park this summer and really liked it. Very nice campground with helpful hosts and a fascinating park with a unique natural history.
Saw the museum, walked to the salt "pits" and were able to see the Bison up close, they had a two calves and were expecting another.
We first got interested in Big Bone Lick when we toured Thomas Jefferson's Monticello and the guide showed us bones in the home from Big Bone Lick. Bombfixer wrote:

Joe - We are looking to come to Kentucky in late October. Looking near Harrodsburg for a couple of nights and then headed over to the Owensboro area. I'm subscribing to the thread so I can read what y'all are saying about the parks. Thanks for any info!
- My brother in law lives in Frankfort, are any of these near there?
- General Butler State Park in Carrollton is always a favorite, as is Big Bone Lick State Park.
