Check out the "Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area" A very large area that does not get a lot of use. Look up the Blue Heron campground. Very similar to the Natural Bridge and red river gorge area but not as many people and a little bigger. It's on the border of KY and TN. Its close to Cumberland falls and lake Cumberland. Has Yahoo falls which is the highest waterfall in KY and plenty of other activities.
