Key West Florida

If you do find such a place in Key west, please post the name and location. Been going there for years and I do not know of any RV park that comes close to matching your wish list, anywhere near Key West.

This is just my opinion, but there are better places to visit than Key West for children as young as yours.

Key West is great place and every traveler should experience it at least once.

One word of caution: There are some "adult" orientated events and places there, so check them out before bringing the kids.

Key West is fine even for the children if you stay to the main streets and just enjoy the atmosphere and sunsets. I stayed at Sugerloaf Key KOA which is about as close as you can get and have the things you want for the kids. No real beach but nice anyway.

X2, it is not really a place for children particularly after dark. Stay somewhere else and do a day trip, that is all you will need there.

Fantasyfest was held on the week of October 18th. If you find body painting offensive, then it will not be a time to bring your children.

We have stayd at Big Pine fishing logge on mile marker 33 on several ocassions and had a wonderful time. bring plenty of bug repellent, the noseeum bugs can be nuisances.

Walking the nature's trail and lounging at the pool was very relaxing.

when getting ready to leave, use the entrance road to exit. it is much less stressful than the last turn on the exit side.

OK Well after reading your replies, I just may keep key west as a day trip rather than a stay. Another place we checked out on the web was St. Lucie West Motorcoach Resort? Any member here stay there. Much further north but looks good, and the reviews on line were not bad at all. Again, just mega searching here thanks..

How about gamble Rogers st camp ground on the beach.

Good luck finding parking around Key West. This was the biggest disappointment of our entire 7500 mile trip this year. I see it as a place for those in their 20's and 30's.

You might want to look at staying in the middle of the keys. Marathon Key is about half way. That way you can do day trips easier. It is a long way from one end of the keys to the other.
