Key West Florida

Looking to go to Key West FL and stay a week. I have two girls 5, and 2. We are looking for a fun family oriented place with full Class A 50 amp hook up. Playground and swimming pool. Possibly a hot tub spa. Restaurants near by. Any suggestions would be great. I have checked the web and am overwhelmed by the choices. I was able to get a week off from work second week in November.

Good luck finding parking around Key West. This was the biggest disappointment of our entire 7500 mile trip this year. I see it as a place for those in their 20's and 30's.
Or those who are comfortable with the life in downtown San Francisco.....:B
  • St. Lucie West is surrounded by some of the worst traffic on the east coast. Why not try the west coast? I would suggest Imperial Bonita Estates which has a plethora of activities, is surrounded by excellent attractions (investigate Lee County), and is five miles from the beach.

If you're there on a Sunday, join us at the corner of Pauline and Dee Sts. for some Bean Bag Baseball.
  • Might try Bahia Honda.

Real nice but no sewer hook-up, dump station.
  • At IBE, grandkids are welcome for two weeks for co-op owners. And, there is a family with kids in The Village (a 3rd part of IBE). You can check with the office about RV with kids. I'll post when I know -- probably Monday when the office re-opens.
  • Thank you to all for your suggestions and assistance with our FL planning trip. After speaking with several members in private messages and through th forums we are not goin to take our first FL trip to the Keys. Ive found the Okeechobee KOA on line and will be going there. The reviews through Google are great and the photos show many things to entertain the kids. Again just wanted to thank everyone for your help. We are going down on the 11th so wish us luck. WR
  • A little late, but az99 is right. No kids in the RV section at IBE. Grandkids are allowed for two weeks (usually at holiday times) in the Co-op section.
