I've lived on Long Island my whole life, camped for 33 years and only camped at Wildwood State Park 3xs and 1x at Nickerson Beach. We cannot wait to get off Long Island and head up to the Catskills or Adirondacks for camping trips.
Because of the price of gas, tolls and the time it takes to get past the Big Apple, we now leave our trailer in storage just south of New Paltz.
