im not a KOA fan boy and only recently started using them the past few years. Last years we stayed at the KOA Quebec Ca, had a patio site it was nice, tight but nice. this year we stayed at the Koa Niagara falls, this had a much bigger site(length) nice campground, not wooded but close to everything in the area.
Last week the wife and I stayed at the cape hatteras KOA in rodanthe NC and have nothing bad to say about this place! Our site was very long, cement patio with plenty of room to park my truck and motorcycle. the pool was very nice and it is very hard to complain about a 4 minute walk to the beach.
Next summer we are going to castaways in ocean city MD, they are charging over $100 a night. So I feel the KOA to be somewhat of a bargain to compared to other places, but they tend to be lacking on entertainment compared to some higher priced places.
Bottom line we haven't had an issue with a KOA yet, we are members since last year and have even gotten discounts this year with our points.
