Labor Day Camping near Lake Tahoe: anything available?

I'm looking for recommendations for rv camping over labor day near Lake Tahoe or in Northern CA. We've relocated and are looking for somewhere fun and new to explore but are late to the game. We have ...

For a reservation park you just have to start calling to see if there are openings.

For a no-reservation place get there early... a day or two before the big rush.

No one can really tell you if there are sites open. :) Good luck!
