Lake George RV park is one of our favorite parks to visit. We have camped with family and reserved two adjacent sites with no problems. Some sites are sunny, others are in the shade. The sites are gravel/grass but there are some sites behind the French Mountain Theater which are paved and it s really just like a parking lot with large bus rigs parked next to each other. There are two small ponds, one for fishing, the other for paddle boating, but not for swimming. Pools are great and one is inside. If you want to camp right on the lake, there is a campground up near Bolton's Landing. Not sure if they can handle large RV or if they have full hook ups.
The last private CG right on Lake George was called Mohawk CG. It was sold to developers a few years back and the owners are probably still counting their money. I'm sure they got millions for the property.
There is a NYS CG between Lake George village and Bolton Landing. Nice CG, but no hookups.
