Lake Placid and Boston

We're looking for RV sites close to Lake Placid and close to Boston (two campgrounds, obviously lol). Suggestions? We'd prefer electricity, but not tied to it, and proximity to both locations is more important.

We're going in September if that makes a difference.

Thanks.
  • Avan, come on, really? OP from Ontario looking to stay near Lake Placid and Boston. Of course they are talking about Lake Placid, NY and Boston, MA. I mean, former Olympic venue, high peaks area, Adirondacks. Lake Placid is still a huge tourist destination and on the way to Boston for them.
  • No really? to it. OP asked a question giving minimal information. Everyone, meaning everyone, has answered the question based on their perception of what the OP asked. I'm from FL and go through Lk Placid, FL numerous times per year. Prior to moving here, I full timed for nearly 15 yrs and camped from time to time in Lk Placid, FL. I gave my answer based on my perception and life experience.

All but two of those responding are from NY or the NE and, I presume, also responding based on their regional knowledge and presumption of what the OP meant. Nonetheless, since the OP hasn't been back, your and GeoBoy's GUESS as to what OP meant is still a guess. Maybe a better one than mine, maybe not, but it is a guess. The OP asked a question and I provided a valid answer so take a valium.

BTW, in several of the states that have an actual "Lake Placid", there is also a town named "Boston" and"on the way" would apply there as well even though OP didn't mention "on the way" as some sort of defining characteristic for his/her question. Nor did OP the OP define the question in terms of "former Olympic venue" "high peaks(really?? :))", "Adirondacks" or "tourist area" so not sure where you came up with those as pertinent to the OP's inquiry. :) :) :)

This Lake Placid, and this Boston. I would assume both are major enough /famous enough that it was clear. If it was somewhere like Portland, I'd specify Maine or Oregon, or Washington, state or DC.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

For the record I assumed you meant the obvious locations.
The other locations are too obscure to be taken seriously.
I clearly understood your original post, some would like to make your question a trivia contest.
There is only one Lake Placid and/or Boston with that has achieved national recognition.
  • Hey Avan, there you have it. Maybe you should stop taking that Valium you referred to, it's clouding YOUR thinking/perceptions.:S
  • On the flip side, if you find something nice up that way let is know op! Last time I camped near Lake Placid it was on Algonquin in a back packing tent. Beautiful area and I don't get up there nearly enough obviously.
