Lake Shasta

Question

We haven't been to Lake Shasta or Trinity Lake in many decades and now have a 37' FW and would like to revisit either of these beautiful lakes. We'd like to go somewhere with hook-ups and on the lake. Any recommendations? We'd like to go anytime in the next 2-3 months.

Antlers Resort has full hookups, but I am sure there are others.

I like Lake Shasta. But I have quit going there because of the amount of theft and vandalism. There is a large drug trade in the area. Don't leave anything unattended. You will probably be fine in an RV park.

We used to do overnight boats trips, so our vehicles were left over night with out of state plates. They would get broken into.

There's a place at the north end at Lake Head on the Sacramento arm.  Has rv spots on the other side of the road with a little market a block away.  Also a great burger place on the lake side of the road.  They are going to raise the level by at least 20 feet in the next couple of years....closing most/all resorts on the lake side of the road.
